The war on drugs is an money making business, as a great deal of resources go into catching those who buy or sell illegal drugs on the black market, prosecuting them in court, housing them in jail, sentencing them to pay to be on probation, ordering them to pay fees, fines and court cost. And we have the Bail and Bonds! Again, the war on drugs is an money making business!

I believe our government bodies make much more money off users by keeping users in the court system then they would by taxing pot. I believe the same government bodies are making money strait off the top, off the sale of pot and to legalize pot would mean unwanted competition for the same government bodies. I believe pharmaceutical companies lobby against legalization of pot because pot can be used to replace many pharmaceutical drugs.
